Reviews are only worth something when they're honest. Here is how the product keeps you on the right side of the rules, in plain English.
No review gating, by design
Google's policy prohibits selectively soliciting positive reviews. The FTC's rule on consumer reviews (16 CFR Part 465, in force since 21 October 2024) bans suppressing reviews, and the FTC treats routing unhappy customers away from a public review as deceptive under the FTC Act. Either way, GossipGarden has no sentiment step, no “how did we do?” pre-screen and no way to route unhappy customers elsewhere — every customer you add gets the same ask, and there is no gate to turn off.

Yelp asks businesses not to solicit reviews. GossipGarden never sends an ask for Yelp; it shows a "Find us on Yelp" link on your review page and nothing more.
CAN-SPAM, every time
Every email carries your business's postal address (collected during setup, required) and a one-click unsubscribe that takes effect instantly. Unsubscribed and bounced addresses go on a do-not-contact list the sender checks before every send.
Consent per contact
Each contact records how and when consent was given for email. Texts are not sent at launch; when they are, they will need written consent recorded the same way.
No incentives in templates
The template editor rejects wording that offers something in exchange for a review, which Google and the FTC both prohibit.
